AI prompt sharing in Prompt Pie is link-based - no account required to view. Share a snapshot of your whole canvas or a single piece, or publish a live share link that always shows the latest version.

Share Your Pie

Share your entire canvas with all its pieces and connections.

Creating a pie link takes two clicks from the toolbar, and the recipient lands on the full canvas.

1. Click Share in the toolbar
2. Choose Share Your Pie
3. Click Create Link
4. Drop the link in Slack, X, YouTube descriptions, Discord, LinkedIn, email, etc.

When someone opens your pie, they see the full canvas - every piece, every connection. They're free to edit and use the content however they want.

Share a Slice

Share a single piece on its own.

Sharing one skill works the same way — select the piece first, and the link carries just that slice.

1. Select the piece you want to share
2. Click Share in the toolbar
3. Choose Share a Slice
4. Click Create Link
5. Drop the link in Slack, X, YouTube descriptions, Discord, LinkedIn, email, etc.

The recipient sees a preview of your slice. From there they can:

• Add to Pie - Adds the piece to their own canvas
• Download - Saves the skill as a .md file to their machine
• Copy to clipboard - Copies the content as text

Live share links (Public link)

Share Your Pie and Share a Slice create snapshots - the link shows your pie exactly as it was when you created it. A Public link stays live: anyone with the link always sees the latest version of your pie.

1. Click Share in the toolbar
2. Turn on Public link
3. Copy the link

A few things to know:

• A live share link requires an account with a verified email. A free account includes a live link for your cloud pie; Pro gives every pie its own. See Accounts & Plans.
• Replace link generates a new URL and disables the old one — handy if a link got somewhere it shouldn't.
• Turn the toggle off anytime to unpublish. The page stops working immediately.

What's the best way to share AI skills and prompts with someone?

Send a link. Select the piece and choose Share a Slice for one skill or prompt, or Share Your Pie for your whole canvas. The recipient opens it in the browser with no account, and can add it to their own pie, download the SKILL.md, or copy it.

What's the difference between a share link and a Public link?

Share Your Pie and Share a Slice links are snapshots, frozen at the moment you create them. A Public link is live — it always shows the latest version of your pie. Use a snapshot to hand someone a copy; use a Public link when you want one URL that stays up to date.

How do I share a single skill instead of my whole canvas?

Select the piece, click Share, and choose Share a Slice. You get a link to that one skill — the recipient can add it to their canvas, download it as a .md file, or copy it to their clipboard.

Can I share a skill without sending a zip file or GitHub link?

Yes. Prompt Pie sharing is link-based — no zip files, tarballs, or repos to send. Drop the link anywhere (Slack, X, Discord, email) and the recipient opens it straight in the browser.

Does the person I share with need an account?

No. Anyone can open a shared pie or slice with just the link — no account required to view, add, or use it.

Can the recipient edit the skill I shared?

Yes. When someone opens your pie or slice, they're free to edit and use the content however they want, including adding it to their own canvas.
